Well considering his past electoral predictions I was surprised he wasn't predicting that the Republicans gain seats.

Odin, civman2000, Deity Dude, Oerdin, The Emperor Fabulous, Ben Kenobi,

If you want to have your predictions compared to other people's, you need to adhere to the format proposed. And you need to predict the Governors' races, whether or not you've been following them - and regardless of whether you think they're "important".

              Predictions so far:

              Ninot,
              House: 205
              Senate: 52
              Governors: 22

              Rufus T. Firefly,
              House: 215
              Senate: 50
              Governors: 20

              Bosh,
              House: 212
              Senate: 51
              Governors: 22

              Winston,
              House: 221
              Senate: 52
              Governors: 24

Thats fine My only point about the Governor races is that the only one that matters to any individual is the one in their state.

So let me pull a number out of my ass and I'll say 23.

Yay! I sense the two of us have something in common here.

I must admit that I am fully expecting a democrat win thanks to barrons, but:

                    House: 235
                    Senate: 56
                    Governors: 30

                      Democrats take House. 226 - 209
                      Republicans take Senate. 52- 48
                      Governors are a close call, I'll say Republicans. 26 - 24

                        Senate: 51 (but Lieberman loses)
                        House: 210

And I really have no idea about governors, so I'm going with 23.

But this is assuming that there is not a Democratic wave.

Likely voter turn out will be in the low thirties though enough people might be outraged that we get a turn out of 40%. That still means the vast majority of eligible voters are to lazy to get off of their asses.

I really would like to see a maniditory voting law. Something like if you don't vote then you get hit with a $1000 fine and spend a night in jail.

Oh for sure. We really need more government mandates.

Why would you want someone who a) doesnt feel qualified to vote or b) doesn't care to vote voting. Personally, anytime there is something on the ballot I am not up on (various proposals, University Board of Trustess etc) I don't vote on those issues. I would rather not vote than vote wrong.

He's hoping the uninformed, casual, ignorant ones will tend to vote for the leftists.

                                And, for once, he's right.
