    • Bump.

I will post the scores as soon as those evidently counting-impaired officials are done over yonder.

      • So I got the governmor bit wrong, but looks like I'll be damn close on the national elections Reckon a 200-49 is more likely though.

          • While we await the final result for the House and the number of Governors, here are the provisional scores - assuming that the numbers will be 203 - 49 - 22 Republicans in the House, Senate and Governorships respectively.

Those numbers are based on the Associated Press' estimation of which way the remaining 1 Governorship and 10 seats for the House are leaning at this point in time.

! indicates that 5 points were awarded for predicting the exact number of Republicans in a given body.

            Ranked by provisional scores:

            1. Eli: 205 - 49 - 22 --- Prov. score: -2; 5!; 5! = +8
            2. DanS: 210 - 49 - 22 --- Prov. score: -7; 5!; 5! = +3
            3. Ninot: 205 - 52 - 22 --- Prov. score: -2; -3; 5! = 0
            4. Odin: 210 - 49 - 21 --- Prov. score: -7; 5!; -1 = -3
            5. ixnay: 195 - 49 - 21 --- Prov. score: -8; 5!; -1 = -4
            5. Jonny: 205 - 50 - 23 --- Prov. score: -2; -1; -1 = -4
            7. Drogue: 201 - 50 - 24 --- Prov. score: -2; -1; -2 = -5
            8. Admiral: 210 - 51 - 23 --- Prov. score: -7; -2; -1 = -10
            8. Berzerker: 209 - 51 - 24 --- Prov. score: -6; -2; -2 = -10
            8. Jon Miller: 196 - 48 - 20 --- Prov. score: -7; -1; -2 = -10
            8. Ramo: 210 - 51 - 21 --- Prov. score: -7; -2; -1 = -10
            12. MRT144: 212 - 50 - 23 --- Prov. score: -9; -1; -1 = -11
            13. Bosh: 212 - 51 - 24 --- Prov. score: -9; -2; -2 = -13
            13. Sir Og: 212 - 52 - 23 --- Prov. score: -9; -3; -1 = -13
            13. SlowwHand: 209 - 52 - 26 --- Prov. score: -6; -3; -4 = -13
            16. korn469: 212 - 51 - 26 --- Prov. score: -9; -2; -4 = -15
            16. Rufus T. Firefly: 215 - 50 - 20 --- Prov. score: -12; -1; -2 = -15
            18. Deity Dude: 219 - 52 - 23 --- Prov. score: -16; -3; -1 = -20
            19. Winston: 221 - 52 - 24 --- Prov. score: -18; -3; -2 = -23
            20. VJ: 217 - 50 - 31 --- Prov. score: -14; -1; -9 = -24
            21. Ben Kenobi: 225 - 54 - 25 --- Prov. score: -22; -5; -3 = -30
            22. Lars-E: 226 - 51 - 29 --- Prov. score: -23; -2; -7 = -32
            23. Whoha: 235 - 56 - 30 --- Prov. score: -32; -7; -8 = -47

I think that's a very good show from all of the top 7, and a provisional congrats! to Eli for topping the table in a most convincing manner.

I will of course revise the scores and ranking if and when the final results deviate from these estimates.

              • Rock on.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
