I would tend to agree that USC, MIchigan, OSU are the current title hunt unless something odd happens. Neither USC nor one of (Michigan/OSU) are expected to lose any more games this year, meaning that USC will likely play the OSU/Michigan winner.
Though honestly I'll consider the winner of that game to be the national champion at that point, and the loser #2. They're #1/#2 in the nation, so the fact that they play each other once prior to the national championship shouldn't take away from that. Were USC to lose a game next week, and say Michigan beat OSU 14-13 or something close like that, I'd wonder if they could meet again, for real, in the BCS title game...

Um, hello? It's called "BIG TEN" for a reason. That's because 11 is a bigger number than 10. We need the extra team to fit all of that bigness in, without bursting a button or something. Ever heard of "Husky" sizes? Or "Wide Width"

Some good games today, but overall a light weekend.

If you had Sava in your state you'd be falling apart, too.

An ACC update, NC State lost to UVA, fulfilling more of my prophecy, that, "even though State beat FSU, they'll still lose to Wake, Maryland, UVA, and.....UNC." Meanwhile, UNC will probably beat Wake today, making the ACC look like even more of a joke. That's pretty much what goes on here, if I haven't said it yet. No team ever wants to run out ahead. The lousy teams will beat the 'sort of good' teams. Miami, VT and BC didn't know what they were getting into when they switched!
FWIW, the ACC's bowl season last year was terrible, if you don't recall. This year is looking like it'll be worse, since tragically SOMEONE still has to go to these bowls. Make some money if you can! Bet against this conference!
(In other news, the first basketball games begin in two weeks! Look for the ACC to be rated highly, but actually still underrated.)
edit: Oh, and Miami - GT....GT not starting out good. Fumble for a TD and Reggie Ball is hurt. Doh!
edit2: UNC isn't really going to be Wake, but Wake's still no powerhouse. A blocked punt for a TD in the first 4 minutes of play and Wake is up 7-0. Oh well.
