Something about flags. I asked this before, and someone besides dumb**** will have to answer since I finally have on Ignore, people that think the right to burn the American flag is a right under the freedom of speech articles. Then they turn around and pitch a hissy fit over another flag, saying a person has no right.

What gives the flag burner such special rights over any other? Keeping in mind I neither burn the American flag, nor fly this particular flag.

Seems a little hypocritical at best.

Flags are signs, dufus. They are visible postings of meaning, meant to be easily discernable from a distance as well as for the illiterate in olden times. It's a lot easier to make out in battle too. Words you gotta get up close to or have a bigass billboard.

BTW, I was slightly wrong earlier. What most people today call the Confederate flag was in fact, the Confederate Naval Jack from 1863-5. So while I was correct in that it never flew over the Confederacy, unless someone dragged a ship up on land, it was used by the Confederacy after 1863.
