Personally, I'd prefer her to be gone, as in dead-dead. Just to show, that not not every prophecy gets fullfilled.

I'm pretty sure that nothing will ever happen on this BSG simply because it happened on the original one. Moore really takes a different direction with the show.

That said, I hope this will be a case of this series doing what the original did. Gimme Starbuck!

There was too much storyline invested in her destiny for her to be gone forever. I'm sure we'll see her more next season, though her role will be very different.

And if we next see her on a Ship of Lights or something, I'm bailing on the series.

Heh, you know that model ship Adama trashed at the end? That was a museum piece worth hundreds of thousands of dollars... Pity nobody told Olmos. He went and ad-libbed that bit, to the horror of the props people.

Same here... but I fear she'll end up being one of the Final Five or a Lord of Kobol or something silly.

Who knows, maybe that will indicate to someone in a future episode that you can't let your personal feelings get in the way of your mission. That's apparently twice it is happened to these characters (Zac Adama and Starbuck).

Maybe that's the destiny?

At the moment, her death is somewhat meaningless--she had a personal awakening, but it didn't mean anything to anyone else, in the grand scheme.

She'll be back, or they will have wasted a great character.

Also, if they get rid of her completely, I'm sure the lesbian audience will vanish, and many a straight man will also depart for regions unknown.

As far as props go...

I love Adama, and Olmos is a great actor... but man, they didn't mention it to him?

That'll learn them to use expensive props. I thought they were cutting corners all over before...

A lot of vagueness and mysterious answers, but he pretty much confirmed that wasn't the end of Starbuck and the she wasn't even originally intended to disappear at this point but he liked the idea of just randomly killing off one of his leads.

Actually joncha, in the lead up to the new series (after they played the miniseries) I happened across that episode(s?) and knew at that moment old BSG was teh suck. It was later that I learned of this abomination...
