You can claim till you are red in the face that its a lot over nothing, but when the Republicans in congress themselves act like its a HUGE DEAL, then obviously you are wrong, that is does mean something.

Asd stated before, the fact that republicans staffers have quit, that Foley himself resigned, that you have people going on TV asking the voters to forgive them all show that whatever you two want to think, this scandal has legs, and is hurting republicans, and it is mainly the own republican's doing.

So keep your heads up your asses on the issue, but in a few weeks you will see just how much this scandal did matter to the voters, specially the socially conservative folks that keep your party in power.

You can keep trying to play up not reporting 700,000 in profits from a legal land sale as some grand evil, but when you have to compete with a republican congressman being secretly gay, having contact with underage (and no one in Nebraska but you really gives a **** that the age of consent in DC is 16) pages of a sort as of yet not fully known, and any type of sex with men (you are the one supporting a homophobic party), you will fail miserably. In fact, you already have.

Can someone explain to me what the Reid "corruption" scandal is all about? He told the relevant Senate committee that a LLC he had a stake in was actually personal ownership, which it can be considered as for tax purposes (and, indeed, is clearly more transparent than listing it as a LLC). There's no evidence that he used his power to increase the land's value, etc. So what, exactly, is the big deal?
