If this is true I think this would be the best possible way for him to go out.
If we kill him then he is glorified as a martyr, if we capture him and put him on trial then he just gets an even bigger stage to speak to the Muslim world. If he dies from disease, we can say he was killed by Allah for crimes against humanity and the will of God.
