Damn, and I was hoping Abraham (who is supposed to be back) would be feisting on Warner

RUSHING
ATT YDS TD LG
D. McAllister 10 48 0 22
R. Bush 10 41 0 13
Not a bad plan by Saints. Draft Bush, spell McAllister, sign Brees.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

You outplay the other team.Originally posted by Imran Siddiqui
Man.... Atlanta didn't have a chance from the opening whistle. How do you contend with such home field advantage and emotion? Oh well, at least it is to New Orleans.
Or maybe at least keep the game close and win it with a four quarter TD pass like the Bears did in Minnesota... a hostile environment if there ever was one.
BUT GO AHEAD AND MAKE EXCUSES BECAUSE YOUR OFFENSE SUCKS LOL
Vick can run for 125 yards every game (BTW, how's that working for ya tonight?), but it won't mean jack**** if his total yards (passing + rushing) isn't over 250 yards... or if he can't even pass for 100 yards. HAHAHAHHA
What a bum.
They should just put him in the backfield with Dunn and get a real QB. He's just a guy who can run fast. Nothing more. Atlanta will never win anything with him.To us, it is the BEAST.

Yeah, because Minnesota in a regular season game is even close to the home field atmosphere as the Saints playing their first game in New Orleans after Katrina
.
Btw, in case you forgot, with Vick Atlanta got to the NFC Championship Game. Its just in this situation, the Saints D are super pumped because of all the emotion, players are dropping passes in the endzone (Crumpler). Unless you think the Saints D is that much better than Carolina's and Tampa's?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. Tampa has sucked balls so far this year. They didn't score a TD until last week. And Carolina has struggled without Steve Smith and couldn't win until last week... against Tampa Bay, BTW.
And the whole first game post-Katrina thing is over-hyped... BIG TIME. How does it make the players play any better? The Metrodome is one of the loudest arenas in the NFL. It's not like people are cheering louder in New Orleans than in Minnesota. Oh wait, did Katrina give them enhanced cheering ability?
Isn't Warrick Dunn from New Orleans? How come he's not playing very well?
Sorry, you can't have it both ways.To us, it is the BEAST.

I've never thought much of Vick or Brooks as pro QB's. Too much rabbit feet.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Emotion and momentum has no effect in football... nope. But you hadn't answered if you think the Saints' D is that much better than Carolina's and Tampa's?
I mean we were only talking about the 4th highest ranked offense in the NFL before this game. I doubt you'll find many analysts who'll downgrade the Falcons much as a result of tonight's game.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Oh wait... I get it.
The crowd in New Orleans made Griffith and Vick both fumble the ball... it's also made the Atlanta defense unable to sack Brees or force any turnovers. And it's made Atlanta's offense suck even more than it usually does.
That's great football analysis.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Week 3 and you are talking about rankings?
Lesson number 1. After 2 games, rankings don't mean ****.
Lesson number 2, you look at personel, what an offense is capable of, the potential of each position...
Rankings are perhaps the most meaningless stat to look at... especially so early in the season. And considering you are looking at yardage, and most of that was from the week 2 performance of Vick and Dunn (a record setting day, and not indicative of week to week performance), you might want to adjust your evaluation of Atlanta's offensive potential.
But then again, delusions of grandeur are always nice to have.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Most of it was Week 2 performance
? The Falcons ran for over 250 yards against Carolina in Week 1, which was supposed to be one of the best defenses in the league. And btw, both Dunn and Vick had very good rushing games against Carolina as well.
Or do you think the Saints' D is that much better than Carolina's D or Tampa's D? Especially, as you said, looking at the personel (especially when we look at last year's numbers showing Tampa and Carolina to both be in the Top 3 defenses last season)
I think this game is an aberration for the Falcons. I think the team that ran for the 3rd highest total in consecutive regular season games in NFL history is better than this. We'll see in the upcoming weeks.Last edited by Imran Siddiqui; September 25, 2006, 23:40.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
