      • Holy crap, Jerricho Cotchery just made one of the most amazing TD runs I've ever seen. Makes the catch, gets hit low and high, twists out of it and takes it to the house.

Of course, it's the Jets, so it will probably be reversed...

              • Go Dallas. 24-10 and still rolling.

                • I've been calling for Brunell's head the entire offseason. He holds on to the ball too long, he's totally unaware of the pass rush, he's got an incredibly weak arm, and he's woefully inaccurate.

                  Free Jason Campbell!

Less than 15 penalties for one.

I wasn't expecting a win at all (unlike Mr. Williams) but we could have left the field with a bit more dignity like we did last week.

If our awesome kicker was a bit more awesome, and if we hadn't reversed that fumble return it would have been more like 24-17, and who knows maybe we would have had more confidence to try and win it. But even a 24-17 game would have been nice.

                    • We have Bledsoe who moves about as much as the Statue of Liberty, and you expect sympathy over Brunell?

                      • I didn't see all of it, but it seemed like a pretty sloppy game tonight, lots of flags. Bottom line from what I saw: Dallas' defense pwned Washington on the line of scrimmage. Once they got ahead, it was Jailbreak City.

If Portis doesn't get better in a hurry, the Redskins are toast in that division. Opponents have to gameplan for Portis, which takes some pressure off Brunell.

Jaguar, if you're already calling for an untested commodity like Campbell, it sounds like you're giving up on the playoffs already. Didn't the 'skins make the playoffs last year with Brunell?

                        • Portis wanted to play. Gibbs, being a man to admire, said, "Too hurt to practice, too hurt to play". Portis would have helped but the Cowboys would have won anyway. The T.D. was a kickoff return.

Brunell has been repeatedly injuring his finger since week 16 of 2005.

In week 17, he was terrible against the Eagles. Then he was terrible in the playoff game against the Bucs, and mediocre against the Seahawks despite them keying in on Portis. Then he was terrible for four consecutive preseason games, and terrible in the first two regular season games of 2006.

Basically, I think that the finger injury, along with age, is taking away his ability to throw deep, and as a result defenses don't have to have three guys on Santana Moss every time he runs a go route. The Redskins have had an incredible streak of nine consecutive terrible performances on offense, despite having arguably a top five WR and a top five TE and a top five RB.

I like Brunell, I just think his throwing arm is shot at this point. He should carry the clipboard and do his best to teach Jason Campbell how to run the offense.

                            • Atlanta 2-0 over two division rivals! All the while rushing for a franchise record 306 yards as the Bucs were dominated (the score is decieving... it was a ball control, run it down their throats game by Atlanta).

And man, Chris Simms sucks. The Bucs wish they kept Griese right now, I'm sure. Maybe they'll make a play for Billy Volek.
