  • What's up with Number 6? Baltar has a Number 6 only he can see and the Cylon Number 6 has a Baltar only she can see?

    • I think it ends with them finding the Earth - which is occupied by Cylons

        /me bows

thought Earth was intended to be the 13th Colony, and Kobol was the original colonizer.
This is true - the people of the Twelve Colonies left from Kobol to the solar system that contains the twelve planets (some solar system!), and the Thirteenth Tribe head out to Earth.

        Possible next season spoiler
        Spoiler:
It's from one of the cast members at a convention so it's probably true. Cylons can be 'killed' by boxing, which came up in the season two episode Downloaded (the Cylon episode before Lay Down Your Burdens. Boxing means ripping out the Cylon consciousness out of the body and placing it in somes sort of suspended animation in storage. It'd be effectively death for them.

I really wished you'd edit spoiler tags around that (although I'm hopeful that anyone who has yet to see season two will have avoided this thread for a long time now, because the risk is HUGE and we're only talking spoilers as it is), because that particular thing was absolutely thrilling to realise on your own.
        Spoiler:
Especially since my first reaction was "OMIGOD BALTAR IS A CYLON!"
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Anyone know anything about a new series set in the BG universe? I was surfing wiki and spotted this

Caprica is an upcoming television series described as "television's first science fiction family saga," based on the fictional universe of Battlestar Galactica and set on the fictional planet Caprica, around fifty years before the events depicted in the 2004 re-imagined series. It will tell the story of the Twelve Colonies at peace and living in a society not unlike our own. But high-technology and a startling breakthrough in robotics brings to life the age-old dream of marrying artificial intelligence with mechanical bodies to create the first living robots--the Cylons. They are researched and built, ultimately leading to the Cylon War. The series will revolve around two families, the Adamas (the family of William Adama, who will one day become the commander of the "Battlestar Galactica") and the Graystones. "Caprica" weaves corporate intrigue, techno-action and sexual politics into this science fiction family saga..

The series has yet to go into production and is to be aired on the U.S. Sci Fi Channel. NBC Universal Television Studio is developing the show, in conjuction with the executive producers of Battlestar Galactica (Ronald D. Moore and David Eick) and 24 writer Remi Aubuchon, who is writing the pilot and set to be the showrunner.
It has a link to the Sci fi channel annoucement. I don't know what to think of it. I'm the type of fan to want to know alot about a particular universe such as star wars or star trek and I probably would watch this but it kind of worries me that they are going to ruin things by saturation of the series.
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

            • The only thing that interests me is that the 24 writer is writing this. I can see it now... DON'T BUILD THE CYLONS OR MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL DIE!

              • As long as it's not "William Adama: The Early Years" and doesn't overdo hints and suggestions at the characters or the events of Galactica itself (like having Tigh's grandfather and Adama's grandfather serve together or have Roslin's grandmother bump into them by accident or other unlikely crap) it should be good. Yeah, and as long as Galactica isn't used as an advertising vehicle for Caprica.

The worst ending they could probably have is to find Earth, be met by the Terran Space Fleet under the command of Admiral Kirkski, which would proceed to kick Cylon ass.

IF they end the show with finding Earth, then let the last moments just show the fleet approaching the planet.
Otherwise, you get something like BSG 1980!
