Though actually less than 5%, actually probably around 3%, of the US population watched the match (and that's being optimistic).

Given the craptastic nature of ABC/ESPN coverage, why would they?

I would quible with your numbers thought, more than 9 million people in the US watched this game. Just the number of Hispanics alone watching the good Univision coverage probably surpasses that.

Yeh yeh yeh, noone cares about soccer int the states, heard that before and couldnt really care less. Stop making excuses for sucking at the worlds favourite sports.


we suck because we dont have enough people to watch the matches and not nearly enough pleyers to make it to the WC from the Europe. You do realise its a little more difficult than from the rest of the World.

The thing is that you said I was only to talk you after we hadeaten you in football. I said it was not relevant but you still insist on it even if you have 100 times better chances of beating us with only 000000.1% of more public interest int the sports.

Give them a little bit of a break. Thet don't usually cover soccer and went with the few big names that people might have heard about. If Soccer viewership gets better coverage will get better.

I watched an MLS game yesterday that was hard to watch.

Poor play and it felt like the camera was too close to the action.
