I agree with Caligastia too, although I am scared to, it could be a slippery slope...

You only say that because you're a womanly black-loving jew.

I think the symbolism of this gesture is escaping alot of you people. And thats just it - its a gesture.

No one is around today who participated in the slave trade, while I think (or hope, knowing this place) we would all agree that its wrong. This man, being a descendent of a slave trader, is probably in a better position to offer an apology that has any real or perceived effectiveness to it.

Besides, at the end of the day, no harm is done and some people were able to get together and have a positive experience. Whats wrong with that?

Yeah, because when something happens to wealthy white people, its clearly worse than if the same thing happened to someone else.

Nope, it's the symbolism we all find offensive and stupid. We get it, let me assure you, we get it!

there are a lot of offensive gestures

It's true. Being raised a good and proper racist, I've never even seen a black person before. If I don't even know that they exist, how could I possibly know that they can actually suffer?

Lorizael, you're assuming that these black people, if they truly exist, are actually people, and not some sort of clay homonculus.
