As long as you are worried things are going to suck, why not let them and relax. If you do there's a good chance that they won't suck, because girls will react better to someone who is relaxed than someone full of forboding. Even if things do end up sucking, you'll still be better off because you won't torture yourself nearly as much, which in turn may decrease your resistance to dating / women.

A lesson I learned the hard way, only a few monthes ago. Follow that sound advice, because torturing oneself afterwards is no fun at all

One of the things I miss about college was the knowledge that I could disappear for a month without telling anybody where I was going (except maybe my parents, who would worry otherwise) and not have it negatively impact me in any way (except maybe flunking a test or two). Nowadays that'd probably get me fired.
