  • Not terribly shocking. Quebec and Ontario have about 2/3 of the population.

    • The least they could do is rent an HD truck for the playoffs out west...

      Even TSN can do that.

        • Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

The CBC has rented trucks in the past as well.

          • One last moment of *****ing about last night's Oilers/Wings game:

Where was our supposed 'number one centre'? The only think Horcoff 'produces' is botched breakaways and inadequate backchecking. Let's at least put Hemsky back on the Smyth/Horcoff line, so as to leave it not totally devoid of talent (that's not necessarily a knock on Smyth, as the Wings have been double-covering him most of the time).

Sunday's a new day, but if Edmonton's coaching staff can't learn its lines and enact some discipline/planning/etc., no amount of heart or effort in the world will prevent annihilation.

            Still, I'm a fan, so:

            Let's go Oilers, let's go!

[In case this post seems too negative:
-Rollie played a solid, solid game, obviously.
-Hemsky and Samsonov are still brilliant, but they should never play together except on the powerplay, as they can't dig for pucks in the corner without getting crushed.
-We didn't have to resort to patented Oilers' 'garbage goals,' which was nice.]

            • I think they should be seperate on the PP as well. We have plenty of players who can score. I would think we would benefit more from having two players who can set them up.

              Missing Moreau is huge though.

6-1 for Montreal -- Canes had more shots but a lot were outside shots on their powerplays-- Montreal pretty much shut them down in the 3rd

Huet looked great -- Gerber did not but he could bounce back

Its only one game but GO HABS

                      WHAT A GAME!!!

Oh man, i was listening at work (i work at a dinner theatre). I got one of the male performers in trouble for missing his que. We were both listening, and when Bouillion scored to tie it up, we both yelled for joy. Boy did we get in trouble, lol. It was absolutely great though! I'm still euphoric!

I heard Canes are seriously thinking about benching Gerber for game 2. I hope so

                      I love playoff hockey

                      GO HABS!

Just utterly destroyed the Rangers, and one of the prettiest assists you've seen by Elias on the 5th goal for the Devs on the night.

                            • Red Wings tied it at 1 on one of the weirdest goals I've seen - initial shot from behind the goal to the right of Roloson was initially saved, it bounced back to the shooter, off his left skate, off his right, off a defender's skate, then off Roloson's right leg as he moved it back along the ice to get his right skate against the post. I guess he didn't realize where the puck was, must have been looking for it to his left.

EDIT: WOO HOO! PP goal by Zetterberg, rebound on shot by Kronwall rolled up and over Roloson's shoulder, dropped behind him, and Zetterberg skated in behind him, spun and stuffed it home. 2-1 Wings.

                              • Looks like the Wings have figured out that Roloson is hilariously bad after the initial save. He never knows where the puck is.
