What a lame attempt to back-pedal -- it doesn't matter that you did not write it. The fact that you presented it in a positive light in your OP means that you completely agree with the garbage you quoted.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
It's amazing how brainwashed and intolerant you've become because of political correctness. Everyone who disagrees is now a bigot.
Did you read my post at all, or just the first line? I went through each and every point on that line, and explained why it was wrong. Kaak doesn't want Mexicans to obey laws, he wants the country free of hispanics at all, given that most of his points apply to legal immigrants.
That's why unemployement is 0%, right? Everyone who's able to work and wants to work gets a job, right? You're correct, it is a market mechanism: There's a demand for illegal, undocumented workers since they can be paid less than the minimum wage, employers don't have to protect them in dangerous job fields and they don't have to pay taxes.
There's a demand for their labor. Why there's a demand, is something perhaps our government should look into. If they're being paid less than minimum wage, or working dangerous jobs, the company that employs them should be held responsible. It's reprehensible to me that the xenophobes of our country feel we should hold immigrants, who have little or no power in this relationship, responsible for the malfeasance of American companies. If nobody offered jobs to people without following the rules completely, we'd not have any illegal immigration ...
This is one of the stronger arguments for a guest worker program. Clearly there's a demand for illegal workers, and it's unlikely we'll ever eliminate illegal immigration, without giving those who would become illegal workers a legal way in. Having a guest worker program does that, gives us a way of tracking formerly illegal immigrants, gives us more safety ... and makes it harder for companies to employ workers for less than minimum wage or in dangerous conditions, since the formerly illegal workers, who were afraid with good reason to come forward, now can ...

Mr Fun--
I wasn't trying to backpedal. I posted something to the OT that I thought was humorous. I made the mistake of forgetting how few people here have senses of humor though. I thought it would be clear that the post wasn't meant to be taken to heart, but then some little trolls, like kh and yourself, start spitting fire. Aaaah...i'm tired of all the little girl drama here, but i don't guess i can expect much else from you.

Snoopy - please don't say things like "he wants the country free of hispanics..." It simply isn't true.
besides, beleive it or not, some hispanics speak english. As for the rest, I could go back and point out flaws in your arguments, but as i said, the post was in jest, and it isn't really worth the time.

Pray, do tell us -- what is humorous about racism, xenophobia, ignorance, and inane, thoughtless statements?
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
Hopefully McCain gets the Republican nod. I'd like to vote for a sane Republican again (though Bush has been remarkably sane on this issue).

I'd like to point out that there was nothing about my post promoting Racism or xenocide and that you are the one ignorant of the issue up there in the northwest... As for thoughtless statements, clearly, whomever wrote it put some thought into it, but you're right. We should get rid of every joke ever told (those poor chickens are tired of having to cross the rode in such thoughtless manners).
Nice try.

The original post was thoughtless, racist, and full of assumtions based on stereotypes
As such it doesn't warrant any serious discussion
It was brought in on a racist tip so it's gonna stay there
(By the way there are more "illegal immigrants" than just Mexicans)

By the way since you are all about following laws, how do explain the Republic of Texas, which illegally took all of it's land from Mexico -- by force
Or is that okay with you?

hahahahaha-- illegally took all of it's land from mexico?? lol...It was the indians before mexico's...and where did the state of mexico come from? Ted, come on... And can you point out exactly what was racist about the original post? and how was it based on stereotypes? this should be interesting...

And this makes it right HOW ? Because Americans were doing it? By the way "Mexicans" are a mix of many different people including native indians and Indians mixed with Spanish decendants, who threw out the Spanish, who originally were the ones to steal the Indian land.
And can you point out exactly what was racist about the original post?
How ****ing obtuse. First of all it's targeting Mexicans, a specific group of people. DUH
and how was it based on stereotypes? this should be interesting...
Every single point in there is a stupid stereotype
If you can't figure it out there's no point in explaining it.
