But what surprises me is that now you back nazis, while we fought against them together 60 years ago.

Why do we need to refight battles that we have already won?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Maybe he thinks we should share his inferiority complex?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Legally in the US they can't stop southern hate groups like the KKK from marching nor even groups like the American Nazi Party. They have a right to march and the people have a right to call them names and make fun of them. All in all it is a good solution.

It also bears mentioning that these troops were Waffen SS, not Einsatzgruppen and concentration camp guards. Waffen SS troops, for the most part, weren't butchers, although there are of course exceptions.

And hell, we remember the Red Army, even though they marched through Poland and eastern Germany raping women and generally pillaging. *shrug*

You do realise that your way of thinking is identical to that of Bush's "if you're not with us, you're against us", right?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

                  Source?

Anyways, they say this, those others say that. Quick qoogling seemed to give mostly very biased articles, from the "anyone not vehemently against the nazis in the 30's and 40's was a collaborator and deserves to be hanged, no matter the circumstances or even their age"-camp.

That article seemed to be from relatively non-biased source. And until proven otherwise, I say they are.

Although, a problem with small countries is, that anyone who actually cares about the matter is by default biased. I'm strongly biased against the Union of The Soviet Republics. I suspect you aren't.

                    1) There is a big difference between the capital of Michigan and the heartland of your country.
                    2) From you article:
"Hoping to avoid the citizen riot that occurred in Toledo when Neo-Nazis demonstrated there last year, the Bernero administration has settled on a two-prong strategy to deal with the same group when it comes to the Capitol for a rally on April 22 (Serb: Btw, ircc, it's a Hitler's birthday). The police plan to erect a fence surrounding the Capitol about a block away and screen counter-protesters for rocks and other potential weapons...Even if most Lansing residents stay away, though, counter-protesters from Indiana, Ohio and elsewhere are expected to show up, according to police intelligence. Police expect some to protest peacefully but others to wrangle with authorities. “These are organized groups that track the Neo-Nazis’ activities and come to protest,” Lansing Police Lt. Ray Hall said".

                    Looks like you aren't hopeless.

You Americans will never understand this. ASk Jews what they think about SS parades anywhere around the globe. Then try to understand that Jews lost 6 million people while USSR lost 26 million. USA lost 300 000. And this is the reason why you are so nazi-loving.
Had they committed at least 1/10 of their crimes on your own soil, your attitude towards them would have been different.

There is. The capital of the country affects much more attention.

I'm pretty sure more people could name the capital of Michigan than the capital of Latvia
