I'm not so twisted as to wish bad things for people because I've had a run in or two with a borderline psycho who happens to be associated with them in some way that my fevered delusions lead me to beleive I am getting even by gloating at their misfortune.

It is my opinion that you broke a rule of the game.

Said rule says that you are not to make roster moves with the intent of interfering with another manager.

The facts:

1. MrBoo had Theodore as a starting goalie on his team.

2. Jose ran into a bad stretch and Christobal Huet was given starts instead.

3. Huet recorded two shutouts in a row.

4. The day of, or after, the second shutout, Asher picked up Huet as a goalie.

5. Asher immediately (same day) offered Huet in trade to MrBoo for MrBoo's best skater.

My position then, and now, is that you picked up Huet for the sole reason of getting a 'better' player from MrBoo. MrBoo was behind the eight ball. His starter was losing starts to the backup, and MrBoo badly needed goalie games and stats. In so doing, you made a roster move with the sole intent of interfering with another manager.

In a few words, that's called breaking a rule. In fewer, you cheated.

At the time, and before you choose to argue the point for the next 12 months, I said merely that MrBoo should get Huet for free. Then you pushed it. You kept arguing, and then yes the 'cheat' word came out.

Given that you were supposed to be the commissioner of the league, I would have supposed that you'd be embarassed by even trying to rip another manager off the way you tried to do Boo. However, given your history I am not in the least surprised that you are not only too stubborn to ever shut up, but too stupid to realise that you yourself are the one keeping the 'cheating' charge alive.

That, on top of the two hissyfits, and the pathetic claim of mental incapacity that got you out of the first pickle.

When will you ever learn to just shut up?

Scratch that. It is unfair to ask the mentally disabled to learn.

I am however, willing to abide by the opinion of others. let's hear form others. Did Asher cheat? If the weight of opinion is that you did not, I'll never bring it up again. However, would you be wise enough to shut up? I doubt it.

Going by your interpretation of the rule, every time you pick up a player from the pool you are interfering with them because you restrict their choice of players.

The point was picking up the player and immediately offering him in trade. It was pretty obvious what you were doing. Are you so stupid you did not know what you were doing?

Goalie stats are important, by your own admission.

You picked up the backup and immediately dangled him in front of the distressed manager. You didn't even wait for the next start.

You aren't really this stupid, are you?

Picking up a player that has been on the market for months and then shopping around for various upgrades is not against the rules.

I wasn't pressing Boo hard for the trade, I was going to keep Huet even if Boo declined (which I did -- when he declined originally in the thread). I didn't even re-make the offer.

Huet was clearly a valuable player, I picked him up and added him to my pool of players. What I do with my pool of players from that point on is not subject to notyoueither's approval stamp.

I'll remind you again that you decided to "help" Boo by recommending Morrison as a goalie pickup, which honestly is such unfathomably stupid advice that I still chuckle about it to this day. While you are a bit dense, I don't think you're that stupid...I think you were violating the rules of fair play by egging on an utterly retarded roster move that would have benefitted him FAR less then the trade I offered...

This was not the first time you've pulled the "I-know-better" routine when I've made a trade. In fact, you've consistently done it every time. At some point you need to realize that you should bugger off and let people do their own trades without your input -- because frankly, your input is crap most of the time.

There was nothing wrong with what I did. When Boo gave his reason, I immediately told him that is not a valid reason and offered to undo the trade with his word. He didn't reply and you kept insulting and calling me a cheater, so I undid the trade anyway. Still no recognition from you, you kept the insults coming intentionally pushing buttons you knew would set me off.

What it comes down to, frankly, is this: you have to give your opinion on every trade in the league, for whatever reason. You viewed it as a "mugging", which I think was not apt at all, and as it turns out it was anything but a mugging. You do not appreciate some of the details of playing in a pool and the risks you need to take when you're in a place like Boo -- and the risk on Huet for him would've been huge.

Due to a combination of you being inexperienced and really uncreative with hockey pools and your incessant need to give everyone your opinions of trades, it became a big deal. You put on your holier-than-thou cap for the 2nd time this season, incorrectly labeling me a cheater for the 2nd time as well, and then spewing personal insults you knew would set me off. All for a trade that would've benefited Huet.

You still don't comprehend the potential value of the Huet->Kariya trade for both of us, or apparently you lacked the foresight. You called the trade a mugging -- it was not. You called me a cheater -- I am not. And you still have yet to apologize -- same deal for when you tried to convince everyone I changed league rules for my own benefit. Still no apology on that.

A wise man, IMO, owes an apology when he wrongly accuses somebody repeatedly of dishonesty and being a cheat.

I recommended Morrison in the same way I recommended Tellqvist to KH. A goalie who looked like he would start who would cost the manager zero.

Was Tellqvist a bad move?
