Not exactly a red-letter day for me either, Tiki. Turco gagged in the third period, and the one goalie I benched yesterday ended up with a 96% save percentage, allowing one goal.

I'll be on vacation the rest of the week, so no more trash talking from me until Sunday.

Oh boo hoo - did your poor little goalie allow two goals and only have a .889 save percentage? Mine had a 7.54 GAA and an .800 SV%. Unless one of your goalies tanks later this week, you've pretty much already won those two stats.

Don't get all sore at Guy, 'Tiki. You're the one who played your soft goalie in a game you shouldn't have. Detroit plays 3 games this week, so you didn't even need Grahame.

And if you wanted to have him pick up a game, just in case, the Washington game was the clear choice: Washington is slumping and they'll have played Florida the night before.

I'm not sore at him, just pointing out that the goalie he opted to play didn't exactly have that bad a night, especially in light of the night mine had.

I think he thought there was an outside shot at a gym medal in the Commonwealth Games.

And Kontiki is making huge moves to catch up to Guy.

I'm down 4-1 after a weak Saturday night. I still might be able to eke out a tie, though... all I need is 3 goals, 1 assist and 2 power play points. If I pull that off, I think I'd actually win the tie-breaker too.

I'm not holding my breath, though.

If Aebischer could get a shutout tonight, that would be a delight.

Do or die for me. In my usual display of managing brilliance, I sat Legace earlier in the week when he got a shutout and Budaj last night when he he posted a 1.97 and .929.

You mean it isn't blatantly obvious which goalie is going to be on fire which night, and assorted other goalie permutations; like the starter breaking his foot so that the backup just keeps on playing?

Wow. What a sentence.
