che, one would hope that even you could recognize the strong possibillity of civil war if the US were to pull out before a stong Iraqi force is ready.
So we should stay there until this possibility goes away? When is that going to be? 2007? 2008? 2020? 2100?
There will be a civil war. There will be no strong Iraqi force. The best solution is a three state solution, but it's not on the table, and won't be until a civil war is fought.
Right now, we're strengthening the opposition by our presence, including the jihadists. We need to leave. It's in everyone's best interests . . . except al-Qaeda.Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

A) They haven't had elected representatives all that long.
B) There is substantial eveidence of vote fraud.
C) Politicians frequently ignore the wishes of their electorate. You live in America and you don't understand this? Sometimes I even wonder what the point of voting is, since all we do is put in another group of people who will ignore us.Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

B. I thought international observers certified the elections. An unusual circumstance if there was widespread fraud.
C. Not to likely in this case given the type of support that the candidates had and the amount of sectional loyalty they have demonstrated."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. Oh..and not to mention the probable bloodbath that the Iraqi people probably don't want and realize would probably happen."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. Many things additionally depend on how you ask the questions:
"Do you want the oppressive occupiers out of the country?"
"Yes"
"If the stabilizing military force were to leave the country and the result would be years of bloody civil war, or if they left in a few years with a stable and prosperous government in place, which would you prefer?"
"STAY!""I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

The dumbest thing would be for Bush to say we aren't pulling out because of all the problems in doing so and then Bush goes ahead and does it anyway for political reasons. It'd be far better, when we do pull out for another administration to do so. Otherwise, the US just looks like even bigger ******.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

That is a ridiculous post. What do you base that on? There were multiple opposing parties and an extremely high voter turnout. What would it take for you to "declare" a legitimate government?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
