The Womens Snowboard Cross final was a laugh.

American Lindsey Jacobellis built up a big lead but threw away the title when she fell at the penultimate jump...

Jacobellis, who had enjoyed a sizable lead for almost the whole race, appeared to be trying to impress the crowd with the finishing line in sight, and paid a heavy price.

"The wind has just been catching me weird and I tried to grab and all sorts of grabs to see which one would work, to try to stabilize myself in the air. But it didn't work."
