nice to have you girls back around here again.
ive been sort of gone for a while too.
this place really needs some female hormones and some spitfire.. hehe

im feeling better.. wish i could get the hang of giving shots better.. ive got these huge bruises .. but i was thinking maybe its not me.. maybe its the diabeties.
seems like i read that makes a person bruise more easy.
is that right?

I think so, you may be anemic. Eat lots of greens, take Iron pills that will help with bruising and vitamin K will help with clotting..i think

that may be true.. the blood test said i was dehydrated and malnurished. the nurse told me that if i had shown up at the er they would have admitted me from the blood test results..

I am a fellow Diabetic Boann and have to deal with many unwanted side effects

I understand about the bruising and sometimes cuts and such that dont heal or seal up

Hang tough and continued prayers for you

Just follow orders and take yer medication now matter how akward it me seem at times

hey girl glad ur starting to feel better. The diabetes can take a toll on you till you ca get into a routine that works for ya. I am sure you are gonna experience lots of things you have felt before but never knew why you are feeling that way. When your daily routine and sugars get under control you will seem to have a better idea of what you can and cant do all in one day. Take it easy and ease your self into a pace that allows the rest and activity you can handle.
I remember a program that was started a few years ago by some of the drug companies, that allow you to get meds at no cost if you qualify. > I checked into because of my ex mother in law who has addisons disease. she needs a medication to survive. if she doesnt take it she will die. She has all kinds of savings bonds and stuff but doesnt work and the meds are expensive. I will see if i can get all that paper work i did for her for the names and pass this on to you.
I am glad you have a great support system.
I did ask the social worker at the hospital i work at as a hypothyical what they could do for someome like you and she is gonna get me some of the results sometime next week.

I'm simply amazed that the cat can hock a lugie and hit the end of the cow's utter from that far away.

biopsy done yesterday and my throat and neck are sore .. hurts to swallow. sort of reminds me of having my tonsils out. my neck is swollen and tender to the touch .. he did not biopsy the left side but said it didn't look quite normal to him but the nodule on that side was very small. he saw two areas on the right side he was concerned about. one collapsed as he put in the needle.. it had fluid there. the other area was just a dark dense looking spot.. he took another sample there. i won't know anything till next tuesday when the lab work comes back. i asked if it was a good sign that there was just fluid in one and he said that didn't indicate good or bad. the procedure didn't really hurt .. it was just uncomfortable but soon after, while the nurse was putting pressure there, i could feel it begin to ache. i took some Tylenol a few hours ago.. it helped some. anyway its done with for now.. just more waiting.
