    If you do need surgery then you should consult a lawyer to figure out how to get on medicad. If you have children or if your parents are still alive then there are ways to give your assets to them (assuming you trust them completely with all of your worldly possessions), declare poverty in order to qualify for government medical aid, and get them to foot the medical bills.

    In order to get it done you will need a lawyer though.

                        Boann - good luck. Oerdin is right, consider gaming the system. Remember, if you go bankrupt medical expenses are not longer erased. So be proactive and see about getting a lawyer who specializes in people with health issues.

                          well harley i just can't do that sort of thing..
                          im not at a point where i have to resort to desperate
                          measures. im just taking one day at a time. i do have resources and family and good friends. as long as this is not cancer and i don't have to have long term expensive treatment.. then i will be fine.. if i have to go that path.. then i will go sign up at the clinic thats for people who have no insurance.. but i dont' qualify right now due to my savings.. so we will see what happens.
