Yep... I'd have given Martz his $1.5 mil easily... especially seeing the market for big time assistants ballooning as it did. Martz deserves to be paid in Saunders territory.

If this all comes down to Matt Millen being unable to see that an offensive coordinator is REQUIRED in order to make proper use of the offensive skill position players he's drafted #1 the past 4 years, then he's even more pathetic than I believed.

If it comes down to a few hundred thousand dollars of chumps change, OMFG then he's TRULY clueless.

I think he could solve all his problems by drafting a WR.

          3 hours until gametime.
Guess I'll get some work done...

Sticking with Pittsburgh as my pick.

Seattle had a lot of trouble with Dallas, the only 3-4 defense they faced this year. Pittsburgh plays the same base D, but with much better personnel. Seattle is not really battle tested. Pittsburgh has won on the road against the best 3 teams in the AFC.

My heart is with Seattle, but all signs point to Pittsburgh.

I have to agree... But I'm really cheering for the right scores for my box pools... I hope nobody scores in the first few quarters

All signs pointed to the Rams 5 years back as well . I think Holmgren isn't going to let this game be anything other than a close one.

I called Pats and Under in XXXVI, and so did a lot of other people. The Rams weren't well-balanced, and it caught up to them.

There are times to call the underdog. This isn't one of them.

Yeah, the Pats were 14 point underdogs! It wasn't like you were really making a huge statement there.

I'm calling a Seattle win, just so I can be the only one.

Really? I remembered the spread was huge, but I didn't realize it was that huge.

Well, the game is quiet so far. Seattle got a little bit of production until Ike Taylor realized he needed to play up a little more.

Edit: There we go, Jackson got a big catch.

Well, they robbed themselves by making penalties right in front of the officials. A lot of WRs push off the DB, but if you do it in front of a ref, he'll call you on it.

Oh come on, you cant call that a push. He only touched. It was barely a contact at all.

That was a statement call by the back judge. Rarely called in regular season. Definitely much touchier than a lot of calls we've seen in the SB.
