I'm going to drop the bomb now. He works not in some generic computer web development job but instead made his money working in porn. Most of his money came from working as the head IT guy for Danni's Hard drive. I can't help but feel I should have gotten into porn instead of some "respectable" line of business. Say for example everyone on your block works harder so that they can buy a better car than everyone else. If everyone buys a better car, then you've gained nothing, since the point of conspicuous consumption is that everyone else has to have worse than you in order for you to receive a benefit. As it stands, you just work harder for nothing.

I just realized my circle of friends include millionaire pornographers, gay businessmen, and the homeless German guy who sits out in front of the liquor store.
