Oh, I've heard this one (the plane not flying into the Pentagon) before. It was the "Controlled Demolition of WTC" story that's new to me.

If that was the case... why bother with the planes. It would have been real easy to just blow up the building and blame it on terrorists if that was indeed the case. They sure as hell didn't need to ram a plane into the building as "cover" for their actions...

Right, right.. and again, interwebsters became scientist and experts on structures and buildings and material. There were even documentaries showing how it happened (for real, not by bombing but how the structures gave up), but it wasn't enough for conspiracy theorists.

It makes no sense, like you said, if you want to blow it up and blame it on someone else, there's no need for the planes at all anyway. Plus facts have been already covered with plenty of evidence and experts working that it happenend as we know it did happen. It's a non-issue.

And one of the biggest evidence is of course the video about Bush not jumping out of the window when he gets the message about the planes.

According to them, he was way too calm, he must have known it would happen beforehand. Again, this isn't evidence, and furthermore he does look troubled, not calm. Even Michael Moore takes the opportunity to bash Bush withi that video saying now he is in trouble and look at his face, he must be thinking why he didn't do his work earlier.

Conservatives should come up with their own list of crazy conspiracy theories too to counter all the equally loony liberal ones:

- France was behind the 9/11 attacks
- The homosexual agenda includes: making the NFL go all nude, converting all churches into dance clubs and turkish baths, inserting the "gay gene" into unborn babies to homosexualize the whole country, and replacing baseball with our new national passtime: sweating to the oldies.
- John Kerry is really a robot
- Hillary Clinton has a secret baby killing factory in her basement
- Saddam had weapons of mass destruction
- Those pictures of flag draped coffins are doctored photos the media made up, there are no american casualties
- Bush is actually really intelligent
- Affirmative action is just a plot to get more democrats in power
- The evil, liberal media and the national weather service lied about the potential risk of hurricane katrina to confuse and embarass the president
- 9/11 is punishment from God for allowing homosexuality
- Gerard Depardieu is really a French spy
- Howard Dean is an alein sent here to monitor us, his outburst in Iowa was a lapse into alien speech
- Brownie really did do a heckuva job

actually some DoD civilian employees HAVE been unionized in the past, though its not legal for them to strike. There was some debate about this a couple of years ago, when a new DoD human resources bill went through congress. I dont recall how it was resolved.

btw, the video I watched (assuming it is the same one) was pretty damn cool, albeit horribly misguided.

One more thing for me to be ashamed of my country. The people here are obsessed with that stuff.
