What's shameless is accepting official stories without question. What's stupid is not believing the evidence of your own eyes.

I don't know for sure what happened that day, but I do know the government bureaucracies have a nasty habit of outright lying whenever it suits them. CYA is the order of the day. CYA doesn't mean there is a conspiracy, but it does help to create an atomosphere of mistrust amongst the public. I understand some people feel that the government has no reason to lie, but by nature bureaucracies are enormous, ossified and allow no flexibility when it comes to truth. So the story comes out through the official channels with no real chance for any flexibility for changes due to the truth, unless overwhelming evidence comes forward.

What's shameless is accepting claims like this that have no basis in actual fact and everything to do with the layperson's lack of knowledge as to what really happens when a plane strikes a building the size of the Pentagon/WTC.

Sorry, Ted. BS is BS and ought to be called as such. To do otherwise is a disservice.

How could they find a passport so easily on the Pentagon lawn? Oh, I dunno, perhaps because they had several thousnad people combing every square inch of the area.

What caused the WTC buildings to fall after the initial air feul was burned up very quickly? The burning papers, chairs, carpets, walls, desks, etc. Across several floors the heat reached several thousand degrees and with the blast taking the insulation off the support struts, the steel beams softened and failed. You can watch the different parts of the build fail at different times in the zillions of videos shot.

Why would the Pentagon blow up its own building? If the Pentagon had something to hide, why, of all the really horrible things they've done, to blow up their building, and risk papers they're trying to destroy be blown into the air and getting caught by someone not in the Pentagon. It's not like the government has to work terribly hard to keep things from us. Also, where did the plane go? Where did the very real people on that plane go?

I don't think the Pentagon blew up their own building. I don't think the US demolished the WTC either, although that Loose Change link had some strange video of what looked like squib (?terminology?) charges going off on the collapsing towers.

I do think there are a lot of unanswered questions and boatload of coincidences.

The weak point about the so called "official story" is there is none. More than four years after the attacks no one has been convicted for 9/11. Not even anyone has been indicted or is at least waiting for an indictment.
So if no one seems to have done it, how did 9/11 actually happen? Or was it just another Orson Welles like TV-event?

Those planes took out a big chunk of 3 floors which then had to support 10-20 floors or more. Metal fatigue takes time...

I'd have to take a look, but as I recall the buildings pancaked floor by floor. At some point in the collapse lower floors could have started giving way producing "squibs" as the outer wall and center post were losing adhesion below as the top was coming apart. I'm no expert on this issue but I seem to recall from the Nova documentary how the outer retaining wall bowed out from the center column enough for the floors to lose support.

1) How the hell wings of the plane could be inside the building, if the size of the hole is much lesser than the wingspan?
2) Normally, planes do not break appart to billion imperceptible pieces. Large parts such as engines, tail and remains of wings should have a noticable size after the crush. Such plane as Boeing just cannot incinerate, some parts should remain.
3) Black boxes designed to survive the crash. Where are they?

They broke off of the plane and momentum swung them around and carried them inside the building. Sinmple physics anyone but a conspiracy theorist could understand.

Actually, they do. Normally, however, the planes are not contained with a falling building nor consumed in an inferno.

They are not industructable. If you drop a building on them and incinerate them in a long lasting fire of several thousand degrees, they will not survive.

Just because the Russian government blew up its own apartment buildings in order to blame the Chechens and reinvade doesn't mean all governments are as wacky. You still haven't provided a plausible reason as to why the military would hit its own building when it's been perfectly capable of covering up its crimes before hand without blowing itself.
