wow, I may have a chance! I'm losing 2-4, but none of by goalies played yet, and his stats look beatable!

Hey Monkey Butts, are you a little worried yet? I have (small) leads in 3 of 4 offensive categories and I have at least 6 more (depends on Gonchar's return) skater games than you for the remainer of the week.

Even your goalie starts are in question - will Legace start back-to-back games? Will Osgood go in against the sad-sack Blues? Is Burke going to get more looks over the inconsistent Grahame?

No, not really. I'm pretty confident I'll get two out of five more goalie starts. The skater chips fall where they may. I'm still pretty happy with my team overall, so I'm not going to make wholesale changes just to pick up a few more games this week.

I basically have one slot I've been working around. If my other guys don't pick it up soon, though, I may have to make more drastic changes.

Taking a bit of a flyer with Fedorov. I'm hoping for the change-of-scenery-production boost, but I may well drop him if it doesn't pan out rather quickly.

So I'm guessing the "rank" category at Yahoo incorporates stats that we're not using (PIM's, I suppose?). Correct? It just seems odd since it does isolate the individual stats we're using, but the ranking seems to have little relation to them.

Use the "Rank" sorting as a rough guideline, at best. Even in points pools (where you'd think it should be equivalent of total points), it seems to have strange priorities.

If sorting by Rank I still look over the first 2-3 pages for standouts. I often sort by each stat in turn, depending on what I'm looking for, and then use Rank to assess where the names I noted fit in the big picture.

Since I believe we have some less-experienced poolies, I should also mention that it is wise to make full use of the filter options and not just Season (total). Use shorter term (month, week) to see who's hot, and use average to properly assess per game performance.

I like to open two tabs (firefox) and filter my own players the same way I look at available players for easy comparison.

And St. Louis beats Columbus 2-0 in the clash of the titans. Good to see Columbus is still the offensive juggernaut of the league. Perhaps I'll be ridding myself of Fedorov sooner rather than later.
