Gordon Campbell is evil

Gordon Campbell (who, while the premier of BC, was arrested for and convicted of drunk driving in Hawai'i) has unilaterally extended the term of the teachers' contract in his province. He has also had teachers declared an essential service so that they aren't allowed to strike.

I'd vote for him just for standing up to the damn teachers unions. Every year! Every year, we'd have some scots commie start a strike that shut down the schools (not that I cared when I was a kid mind-you). If it's not the teachers on strike in Canada, its the posties, or someone else. Last time I tried to get a new passport it was closed for the day cos of rotating strikes. If the USA is the most litigious country in the world then Canada is the most 'striking' - to its own detriment. Thank **** I left years ago.

So you would blame the CBC workers because management locked them out?

And the teachers wanted a negotiated settlement, but Campbell refused so it's the teacher's fault?

9 times out of 10 in Canada, it's management that's doing the lock out, not the union going on strike.

I heard that the teachers wanted a 15% pay raise. Like that's ever going to happen. The government offered 3% over three years.
