Thanks for playing, but you still lose.

you can link all you want... doesn't matter if it is to a source that is not good...
and this isn't about the stats themselves... it is an author's interpretation of the stats...
I don't need to link to anything. My position is common sense.
and most of what I have said about Prior and Wood's injury is common knowledge here in Chicago... I am not going to be searching newspaper archives or going to bother to try and quote what I've heard from Chicago sports media outlets from beat reporters and EXPERTS... not online writers for some two-bit website who don't even cover the team (like the link you posted)... but CHICAGO MEDIA that follows the team, is at the games, has direct access to the players and coaches... basically... people who know what they are talking about...
so yes Imran, you have been pwned...
you are so far out of your league it is not even funny...
That's ok... I just lead Sava out far enough that he makes a fool of himself. His constant backing of his arguments by "common sense" (of the Chicago Media no less!) has done it well enough, so I have no need to make him step further out on the ledge.

yes, what would the Chicago media know about the Chicago Cubs?
I admire your conviction Imran. I think it will serve you well as a lawyer. You definitely can make a somewhat convincing argument with what little scraps of fact you have.
But eventually, you need to learn when you are defeated. Strong conviction can often just be stubbornness.
This is going to be a great series because of the pitching.
Who is the underdog? Although Sox havent been to a series since 1919, Houston not only has never been to a series, but they barely got in as a wildcard. It is Houston. I'm rooting for them.
Back in August when the NL wildcard picture was amorphous, I knew even then that if Houston got the wildcard they would get to the series because of their awesome rotation.
I hope the Phillies acquire some decent starters this offseason.. That's the only way they will get to the postseason..
The Sox have a pretty awesome rotation as well. Their performance against the Angeles prove that. They are peaking at the right time. Neither team is known for their hitting, so it should be a great match up.
I do hope that the umpires are less visible in this series than they were in the playoffs.

4 complete games in the ALCS!!!
the first time something like that happened since 1966 (IIRC)...
and that was a pitching era!!!
Oswalt and Clemens may be the two most dominant pitchers in the series...
but as a whole, I think the White Sox starting staff has the edge... they definitely have momentum on their side.

WHERE WERE THOSE BALLS WHEN YOU PITCHED FOR US, JOSE?!!? HUH?!?! HUH!??! BASTARDO!
They came back when he started to pitch for a team that still had a soul

Half the starters in this series are former Yankees. The now-Astros abandoned ship based on Clemens' "retirement" and the now-Chisox were rejected as inconsistent, old, and injury-prone. If Steinbrenner just kept the right pitchers, NYY would be in the series again. Don't blame Chicago and Houston for capitalizing on it.
and Arrian, as you consider your rooting interest in this series, remember -- the White Sox eliminated Boston.
