I was much more of a fan of the Contreras trade when it happened than moste whitesox ("We're getting an inconsistent starter for one of the best pitchers this year"), but i have to say at the time i thought it was a great example of 'selling high' for Kenny Williams, who's clearly about three leauges higher than McPhail + the Tribune Co. ... Loiza was a bright flame for a year, but just isn't the incredible pitcher he looked to be, and Contreras just needed a decent team to play for that wouldn't stress him out every game.
I love him, and think he'll be the best of this rotation for years if they keep him ...
