I thought this was going to be about a quiz that indicates if you're a pool party, a housewarming party, or a tailgate party.

I would probably vote for your party over the dems and repubs

So basically you want government intervention in the economy, government intervention overseas, and government intervention in social issues.

Dems have the first one covered, and the Reps cover the last two. I dunno. You're stuck. Vote for the person, not the party. I'm sure in spots like Ohio or Pennslyvania or West Virginia there are plenty of politicians that match up fairly well with you. [/QUOT

Regarding gov intervention in the economy...I have 43.5 work days left according to my new wrist watch calculator with calender feature but which lacks a simple light, pchang, (It's made in China) so I can't tell the time or calculate at night.

So, I have 43 days of work left before I board a plane for the Phils. In those 43 days I'll make 130,000 PHP. I pay my maid 2000P a month, plus food. So, aside from food, I'll make enough to pay my maid for over 5 years, just in the next 43 days of work. Do you think the American worker needs protection since it's the American worker driving the world employment at this time?

Gov intervention overseas, well it depends on what's up. However as a citizen I can be a judge of policy, which is the gov's actions, not of the actions themselves. I support the current effort to establish a representative gov in the middle of the arab ****hole so that things might change there...particularly since they can now export murder.

Gov intervention in social issues. Really simple, what is the gov? It is supposed to represent the people. So they are to make laws that represent the views of the people, and I'm one of em. I have a viewpoint and in a representative gov, hope that it will be represented. It's not.

I'm a pro life dem. I've though thois many times. However the dems are too far left and will only ever give lip service to the pro lifers in their party. Good observation Pekka.

Che, Zop, Jon, I disagree. Most catholics are pro life and therefore repug.

You'd be wrong. Most Catholics are Irish, Italian, and Mexican, all of whom are traditional Democratic voters. Of the two Catholic candidates for President in our history, both were Democrats (Kennedy and Kerry).

Ok, then catholics are the next southern democrats. Assuming the repugs are pro life, which I now doubt.

Anyway, got a dinner invite by a cowboy buddy of mine. Later...

It's actually fairly common throughout much of Latin America. The name of one of the great revolutionary leaders in South America was Bernardo O'Higgins. He and Simon Bolivar led the Spanish colonies to independence.

Catholics vote half and half. I'm afraid it's no help to suggest that Lancer follow the herd.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

how can they be meaner? How can anyone be meaner? What did they do? Spit in their food and not do the dishes? Refusing to go to the basement when it was football time and guys came over? I find this very difficult to picture.
