Whoever has waiver priority gets him.
I believe original priority is based on reverse draft order and then after that if you get your claimed person, you move to the end of the line.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. I thought waivers only came into play when you dropped someone. As far as I know, if you want to pick up a "free agent" (any undrafted player), you just pick them up. Undrafted players are ALL on waivers at the start. They only become free agents after Wednesday, IIRC.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just finished the draft for my big hockey pool. Entry fee HK$500, about $90 cdn, 11 guys. I draft in second spot.
The big surprise is Thornton was the 16th pick!!!! What were these guys thinking. The guy who got THronton picked S.t Louis in the first round, what a one-two- punch.
Another surprise: Morrow doesn't get drafted!
Here's my team:
Iginla (Nashlund went first)
Sundin (Not because I'm a homer. For the 21st pick, he's good)
Alfredsson (Hate the bastard, but he'll get points)
Nagy (really risky with the shoulder injury, but should be ready to play by Saturday)
Murray (Playing with Thornton, no problem)
Ruutu (solid pick for the sixth round)
Weight (again with the shoulder)
Jeff Carter (Now, I'm thinking I should have gone with Mike Richards)
Bochenski ( a steal in the ninth round)
Zidlicky (solid)
Allison (It's the 11th, if he stays healthy, I'm definitely in the running fpr first)

There was some talk about making the entry fee HK$1,000 which I thought was a bit stupid.
Winning is the big thing, the money is a nice bonus. Won the last playoff pool (thank you Iginla) and took home HK$3,600.Golfing since 67Comment
