No you didn't . You just clicked start the league right after the last pick.

Most of this could have been avoided if you waited a day for everyone to check their lineups before submitting them.

Actually while Yahoo has "M.Hossa" in the draft listbox they also include the team and position. At least they do in baseball and football.

People could see their team without the results being submitted? I thought that's why you couldn't trade them, they didn't show up on your roster.

          Other bits:
          - If a player goes on IR you can move them into IR and pick up a replacement player. Once a player comes off IR you then move them into action and have to drop an excess player.
          - Keep an eye on the schedule for Goalies - you might think that you should put them in against a lesser team, and then discover that the backup started and you got squat.
          - Check the available players every so often, sorting for hot players (via last week or last month filters)

Well we could see our teams in "Draft Results". Unfortunetly I realized that those players were not clickable... so I guess Guy wouldn't know which Hossa he'd get until the results were submitted.

              that's stupid...

that makes the bench pretty useless, you pretty much have to follow individual team news closely to see if a particular player is going to play on a certain night...

I guess it's going to be more a question of matchups then... obviously I won't be playing guys against Martin Brodeur. Of course with my luck, I will get screwed and pick the wrong matchups and such.

Guy can drop the other one and pick up the real one before the season starts.

Nobody can touch Hossa or the other guy who jumps out as 'holy ****, how did he get overlooked'.

Not really. Guys get injured and you lose games. At the same time you may want to press on a stat or two to win games in a matchup.

                  I'm looking forward to it.

IOW, part of the game is managing your team against the team you are playing, not simply always doing the same thing.

Oops - scratch this - it does not apply to Head-to-Head Leagues. Each week you want to get as most as you can out of your players.

I want Glen Murray, and not Garth Murray, Asher!

Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

FYI - I'm heading back to Ottawa for the week, so I won't be able to read anything at 'Poly. I don't see this being an issue unless people want to discuss trade possibilities with me - just use the Yahoo system to offer a trade and use the comments for discussion.

Asher - thank you very much for helping me with the draft.

                              Good luck everyone!

For the last time, drop Garth and add Glen before the season starts.
