I needed a top level defenseman. Elias would have been, at best, my bench LW after Smyth and LeClair. Before Jovo, I would have only had Timonen and Rafalski, as my defense. Now I can have Rafalski and Jovo as my starting defense, with Timonen as my backup.I don't know why you're so happy about it. Jovo may be the better player, but he won't help you in the pool nearly as much as Elias would have.

Why do you figure that Jovo won't get the points? He has consistently been the top defenseman for the Canucks, while Timonen has averaged 40 points every year for the Predators.
