Goalies are by far the single most important components in our pool. Think about it for a minute: 3 of 7 stats are exclusive to goaltenders, and you only have two (maybe three) on your team. If one of your goalies goes down or starts to suck, you're down to one person covering three stats. If one of your skaters goes down, you still have another seven players to pick up the slack, and maybe a replacement from the bench.

When you live in the middle of nowhere, (aka rural Saskatchewan), your kinda forced to be a bandwagoner, the best I could come up with is to cheer for all Canadian teams...

I take it not everyone is aware of the composition and rules of our league. It might be a good idea to familiarize yourself with them (it might have been an even better idea to do this from the start):

I understand that... but once the top goalies have been taken, it is pointless to be neglecting the rest of your team for scrub goaltenders.

Everyone has their own draft strategy. But I don't understand why you guys were passing on potential 80-90 point producers in the 3rd-5th round just to pick up second-tier goaltenders.

And as I pointed out before, most of you guys have been neglecting defensemen. On average, the rest of the league (not including my team) only has 2 defenseman. I mean, you guys are picking bench forwards before D. What is up with that? I was able to get 4 of the top 20 rated defensemen because of this! I'm certainly not complaining. I mean, thanks guys! Last few seasons, those level of defensemen were getting 40-50 points... who knows what kind of numbers they will put up this year?

And goaltending might not be such a good thing to rely on this year with the rule changes.

It doesn't seem like anybody is taking that into consideration.

I looked at the last post of the rules before we started the draft and it said we had 4 D spots!!!!!!

That's why I didn't care to much after I got one solid d man in Brian Rafalski. The differences in the defensemen are small compared to the differences in the other positions.
