    • Notre Dame is always an important game. Nebraska fans were particularly excited when Notre Dame came to town a few years back, even though ND wasn't that much competition for the Huskers at the time. No one cared though, because it was Notre Dame.

      • Personally, I don't know why ND and Nebraska don't play each other more often. It would be lots of great games.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

            • Ohio State really needs to utilize the play action pass more.

              • Also, sometimes Henne passes downfield beautifully. Is it that he doesn't manage the game well? Is it that the plays coming in from the sidelines aren't suitable for the offense?

                    • Well now... Michigan State got HAMMERED by Northwestern 49-14.

This afternoon, we got two matchups of Top 25 teams: Texas v. Texas Tech and Tennessee v. Alabama, and both games are close. USC and Notre Dame are destroying the patsies they are playing (Washington and BYU respectively).

They're still 5-2 and would be 6-1 if not for the unlucky finish to the Texas Tech game. Markedly improved from last season. Callahan's job seems pretty safe for now.
