Sorry Dan. I really thought they had it.
That 4th down play really sealed the deal.
The thing that really sucks is that if the cornerback just turns his head back to look at the pass, he's in perfect position to knock it down, game over, Irish win.

Props to USC for scoring by a QB sneak, even though he had his bell rung.
A truly worthy rival.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. Well, I told you USC was going to win . Though it is nice to see Reismark stick with his "X team got jobbed" excuse whenever one of his underdog specials lose .
The Irish still don't make my Top 10 .

This Irish team deserves a top 10 ranking and more. I didn't think so before, but they're a quality bunch, as demonstrated on the field.
I'm proud to be an ND fan, after their performance today.

Yes... no 2 loss team is in my Top 10 this week, with all the great undefeated and one loss teams... ND shouldn't have lost to a slightly above average Michigan State team.

With all due respect, a number of those undefeated and one loss teams are considerably less that "great." And MSU is certainly better than "slightly above average."

MSU is now a 2 loss team. Ohio State just wore 'em down. They may finish from 20-25. And I'd take most of those undefeated and 1 loss teams to ND. I wonder if the game was a neutral site, and the grass was actually MOWED sometime in the last 2 weeks if it'd be anywhere near as close.
I think ND would stuggle against West Virginia, frankly, which is, at best, 10th in the country.

Imran must be on something. If he excludes ND I might as well rank Rutgers or Vandy #1.
I've excluded ND all year. They are 9th in the AP right now, with the loss, they'll probably drop to 11 or so.
