  • The census does not track religious affiliation, and being Jewish is not one of the ehtnicities they track, so its impossible to find accurate data, thought Manhattan claims to be 70% white, and groups like Italians and Irish only made up 12% of the population combined.

Its amazing what kind of Data you find on the census website.

Like did you guys know that in the uS, the five most educated counties (those with the highest percentage of people with bachelor or higher degrees amongst people over 25 years old) are, from the top:
    14th New York 61%
    8th Maryland 56%
    14th California 54%
    9th New York 50%
    11th Virginia 48%.

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I'd assume 11th Virginia is Fairfax county, but I thought we had higher than that

48% is very high. Only 4 other congressional areas have higher stats. The Maryland seat is adjacent to the Virginia one.

Yeah, but for some reason I recalled 60-70%.

                            • The problem with Balkan countries is that during the Ottoman empire's rule the people moved around a lot and when the different nations started getting liberated there were signifficant teritories with very mixed populations.

This gave all Balkan countries the pretext to claim neighbouring teritories.
As far as Macedonia is concerned however Bulgaria has the biggest claim because 2/3 of the population was Bulgarian. There were ofcourse Greeks, Turks, Albanians and Serbs but the majority were Bulgarians.
After Yugoslavia was created the official communist line was that the Bulgarians in Macedonian were of Macedonian nationality (there was no such nationality 60 years ago). Macedonian language was created and Macedonian history was invented. Nowdays there is a signifficant number of Macedonians who think of themselves as Macedonians (not Bulgarians) and want to live in an indipendent country of their own. This is quite understandable considering how much suffering these people have endured in the past 100 years.
Bulgaria has no claims over any neighbouring teritories today. We only want Bulgarians who wich live in the neighbouring countries to be given the right to learn Bulgarian and not be subject to systematic assymilation as has been the case too often in the past.
