That's because you haven't tried. Note that I am talking about the population figures for the end of the 19th century.

But I've learned a bit more about zionism.
      And what is that?

        • It's very interesting that the north-west coast of Greenland is a very British pink. This is confirmation of the legitimacy of the Canadian claim on the map I posted earlier.

Or it's confirmation of the Britsh inability to make proper maps even at the turn of the last century.

              • It seems almost as if we could make a competition: find a city in the Balkans not claimed by at least two countries. This would not be easy

                  By the way of which:
I find it annoying that so many years after the fall of communism, some haven't noticed that there's no USSR, no Yugoslavia (the original one), the Tchechoslovakia, and they print leaflets and other stuff with maps 16 years old

well it depends on what yuo mean by "claim" and if you mean today or throughout history.

                            • Well, obviously core regions of any country are likely to be uncontested (not in case of Macedonia, though). But border areas and remote regions in the Balkans are very likely to be eyed by the neighbours... perhaps waiting for the right moment? Take Solun/Thesaloniki. It is on at least three maps in this thread: Greek, Macedonian and Bulgarian. And it's only three, because the Turkish map hasn't been posted yet
