  • You didn't explain anything, but I found an analogy. When a part of Croatia was occupied and reffered to itself as "Republic of Serbian Krajina", Croats insisted on using "so called" before the name, or putting it in quotation marks, so as not to give the name legitimacy.

I personally never gave a ****e about that.

    • One question: as I have understood so far, on the Balkans we can find Greeks, Albanians, Slovenians, Croatians, Serbs, Bosnians.

Why should Montenegro be an independant state, what ethnicity does it stand for?

                • Montenegrians are a separate nation from Serbs, but with much similarity and historical ties. In fact, many native people in Montenegro consider themselves Serbs, so the question of independance is tricky. Current political elite in Montenegro is pushing for it, but the people are reluctant to say the least.

                        • Ah the Byzantine emblem. No objections. Why do they keep the crown though, they dont have a king.

                          • That lion belongs to the byzantine emblem? Didn't it also belong to Venice?

                            • hmm actually modified byzantine emblem but more sophisticated than the one albania uses. there shouldnt be a lion in the heart of the two headed eagle but most importantly they have a sceptre where there was a sword

                              • I know about another country white a two headed bird in its flag. ALBANIA! Coincidental?

After the fall of communism, the Polaks put a crown on the goose or whatever that bird in their coat of arms is. Could be some kind of anticommunist/nationalist statement.
