Today Haifa street in Baghdad, and Mosul, are controlled by Iraqi forces. Fallujah is being reconstructed, and is the site of Sunni arabs registering to vote. While there is still an insurgent presence in Ramadi, it is far from controlling the city.

Coalition deaths have been almost as high this year as 2004, and much higher than 2003. And that's not even counting Iraqi forces deaths. I was wrong about April 2004 being the worst month of the war, incidently. That honour goes to November of the same year.
