Quotes from the 'Phins preseason game against the Bucs this past weekend:
- Miami's quarterback job remained unclaimed. Frerotte played the first 2 1/2 quarters and completed only nine of 25 attempts for 103 yards, while A.J. Feeley came off the bench to lead the Dolphins to 10 points.
- “It's something that we need to continue to evaluate,'' Saban said. “It has seemed the entire preseason, whichever quarterback played second has played best.''
Based on this, I predict the 'Phins punter will go to the Pro Bowl this year, and that Miami will have another high draft choice next spring.....

I love hearing his sound clips on the Score...
about this whole Benson thing...
I just wanna know WTF was the whole problem?
I mean, the money he signed for seemed like exactly what they were offering the whole time. Why the holdout? To us, it is the BEAST.

Apperantly from some people close to him, he was insulted by the intial offer and said that the bears weren't showing him enough respect. And if they had offered the same numbers they just offered him at the beginning, he would have signed.
But don't worry, he's very mature for his age. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Let's see... throwing millions of dollars, in the range between what was offered to the person picked before him and then after him wasn't showing respect...
Yeah... real mature... HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA!Keep on Civin'

hopefully, he'll end up working the graveyard shift at some factory in Ohio with Curtis Enis
Curtis Enis works the third shift at a garage-door factory in Russia, Ohio.

And Benson is a moron. All he did was hurt himself. I hope Thomas has a great year and CB spends most of his time on the bench...
However, it also hurts the Bears, in terms of potential trade value or a case of a lost first-round pick (but that's more rule than exception in Chicago, I suppose).

I'm sure if he held out the year that he would be just as successful as the last person forced to sit out a year.
Broncos cut ties with ex-Ohio State RB, their 3rd-round pick
From Tribune news services
Published August 29, 2005
Maurice Clarett's gamble for the big dollars in the NFL failed for a second time. The Denver Broncos informed Clarett on Sunday that he is being released, ESPN.com reported.
Mike Shanahan surprised the league by using a third-round draft choice on the former Ohio State running back. The Broncos coach thought he had the cutback style of running that fit in one of the league's best running systems.
As it turned out, Shanahan made a mistake and didn't want to waste time admitting it. With Tuesday's deadline for cutting the roster to 65 looming, Clarett, who never made the field in three exhibition games, was let go.
Clarett first gambled that he could beat the NFL in court after applying despite not being three years out of high school. The case failed, so Clarett had to wait until the 2005 season to get his chance to turn pro.
Clarett's second gamble was on his contract. He felt he deserved a contract similar to what a first-round choice would receive and signed an incentive-laden, four-year deal with no signing bonus.
The Broncos were willing to give him a $410,000 bonus, but Clarett agreed to only a $230,000 base salary. He had the chance to make $7 million.
By releasing him, Denver won't take any cap hit. It also appears unlikely that the Broncos will sign him to their practice squad.
Mike Anderson is expected to start at halfback with Tatum Bell as his backup. Shanahan also likes what he sees from former Giant Ron Dayne. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
