As for laws applied equally, look at the prison population. Do you deny that it's easier to convict a black person than a white person in the US?

Using my logic America (and Britain, it's not a unique thing) should have a fair un-racist legal system where it's not easier to prosecute black defendents than white ones.

If you could rid society of the amazing predjudice that still exists you wouldn't need affirmative action to help minority Americans escape from the horrendous poverty traps they find them in.

I'm not sure that affirmative action is a great thing but as long as the American system is so focussed on making the rich richer and the poor poorer and so many people maintain these concious or subconcious racist biases society is so hugely biased in favour of the white majority that it's laughable that anyone suggests that whites are having a hard time. Something needs to be done to break the cycle.

Unless people don't give a **** and assume that because certain races are inferior they therefore deserve to be so much poorer.
