      I have a couple

I want to take a one-two month trip across Europe: France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Germany and sample new wines every day.

I want to do a similar, but shorter trip sampling beers, but to different countries.

I want to do a monster tour of Europe, going to the scenes of literary and "real" monsters: the Rhine castle of the "real" Frankenstein, the castle where Mary Shelly wrote her story, the castles of Ezsebet Bathory and Dracula, the Tower of London, etc. But also go to see Auschwitz and such places.

I want to see all fifty states.

I want to visit all of America's national parks.

I'd like to visit all the UN World Heritage sites, but that's impossible.

I'm wondering. Should I see New York City?

I've never been one much for man-made attractions. but I feel this city is so significant, that no person should miss it. yes I'm watching a history channel program on Gen. Howe and the revolutionary war. And you think of all the history of New York City. Of course it's all paved over now...

Nice nice.. very nice dreams. A lot of you want to trip around Europe.. well.. this is a nice place.. and you can truly get variety in relatively short distances. Lots to see. Couldn't even count all the things worth seeing or doing.

HOWEVER for me.. since I do live here, I can get anywhere in here within an hour or two with a plane, so I'm not interested doing it, besides most my trips have been in Europe so... haven't seen it all, want to see more, want to make new friends in here and all that, but I reckon since I'm at age where I could still travel around the world, I want to do it. I want to see something I'm most likely not going to see when I'm doing career, being busy building a heart attack etc. Then I can go to Europe for vacations with the family. NOW, I would have the chance of the lifetime to truly expand my horizons you know..

SO, next I will post my dream trip! BE READY!

                OK HERE I GO!

First, flight from Helsinki to Sri Lanka. Capital Colombo, but only to get away from it the time I step out of the plane. Go to south, and then back to north and check out Wilpattu National Park at least.. many things I want to do and see in this country.

From Sri Lanka up a little west to the Maldives. Mostly beach life and trekking. Check out some sights. Check out the culture.

Then from there north to India. Sri Lanka is convinient to India, so maybe I'll go to Maldives first. Anyway, then to India, to Kerala. There are LOTS of things I want to see and experience in Kerala. Basically I'm leaving out all the stuff that I want to do in these spesific locations, because it would make a book. But assume there is something special in each spesific location, and that I leave lots of locations out because my trip is over 6 months long. so just assume there's lots of intention in every place, country, and lots of stuff not mentioned.

OK SO Kerala.. important place for me. Of course I need to check out at least Bombay, but also lots of other places. This be the country I spend the most time in single shot. AT LEAST one month, if not more. In here I have the most to do.

Then from India, I go to east. There is no convinent way, as Myanmar (Burma) is not a cool spot to go right now. Unstable, might be even unsafe. As a protest, I stay out of it, to show the bastards they are wrong, to support the democracy lovers of the country (keep on fighting brothers and sisters!). I dont' want to enter China at this point, but later on. I also want to skip Bangladesh, as it doesn't have any special .. interest to me, I only visit places I really want to go on this trip, so I don't waste time on things that are not of passion to me. Also Nepal is not of interest to me now, and I'd still have to go via China to east if I took that route. So I'll take a new flight!

The cheapest ticket that gets me to.. THAILAND! Yaay! Here I also want to spend at least 3 weeks. Going around. From Thailand to Cambodia. Some stuff to see here as well, fairly interested so I go through Cambodia. Also check out Malaysia while there. Then to next hot spot, Singapore. This is like a semi-hot for me, I'm kidn of interested, but most likely spend only a week in here. We'll see. From here, the SUPERHOT spot I want to see the most after India and Thailand .. Indonesia! W00t!
Lots of stuff in here.. just lots and lots..

Now I'm in a bind, so I need to take another flight.. to Philippines. THis also be a cool place for me. Semi hot. It's just a nice drop point between Indonesia and China in my airway, so I'll go to China next. That will be super hot.

China will also be the single most long train route I will take, so I will close to South Korea. Where I will be going. But China is also great to visit and see places and stuff and big city and stuff. From SK to Japan. This will kind of ... interrupt my budget travelling, but I need to do this. I love Japan.

From Japan to home. OR if for some reason I'm absolutely loaded, then I'll take a flight to Hawaii, from there to US, drive through the US to new york but this time take the south, since I've seen most north.. see texas, new orleans, all that stuff, florida..and then go to new york and fly back to helsinki from there. This is, unfortunately very unlikely because this would take too much resources in my budget travelling, that is actually trekking.

RIGHT. So 6 months at least. This **** will be great and I'll do it in 2006.

Like I said, I have so much areas and things of interest, that I won't mention them because that would be sidetracking, I could prolly write 4 pages about any single city, or countryside I want to go, but let's say I'm avoiding most tourist spots.

But, sadly, while vacationing in the Maldives, Pekka is swept away by a giant tsunami, never to be seen again.

Crap, I read wrong. I read that Maldives was completely wiped out with the last tsunami. I was thinking why I can't remember this. EVIL CONSPIRATAR!

I think Pekka has a nice trip. My ideal trip would be a variation on Oerdin's. But instead, I get a cross between a house boat and a sailing ship. If it has a coast, I visit it. Go around the world, spend two-five years, let me little girl get a really cosmopolitan childhood. Never gong to happen, but I can dream.
