That's a qestion of standing. It has nothing to do with what he wants to do.

I'd have to say yes. If you haven't protected yourself even though you know you wouldn't want him to make that decision it's your own fault. If he was still your husband if would be his right if you hadn't taken the choice from him.

I don't care how big a scum bag the husband is. If the wife hasn't legally specified anything else, it's the husband's call.

This whole thing has been sad.

do your own research, try to verify your own sources, or is that too hard?

If I hadn't read this twice, I would have been yelling:

translation: you are pulling **** out of your ass...

either that or you are reading lies from some pro-life nutjob website

my sources are mainstream news sites, which I provided links to in earlier posts...

I suggest you educate yourself, your information on this subject is severely inaccurate.

It's almost as bad as Tom Delay, who said Terry Schiavo is talking...

That's just because her mom said that...poor woman. Just goes to show that Congress acted on the emotion of the moment and not on the constitutionality of getting involved in a State's Rights issue.

oh I don't think Congress acted on the "emotion of the moment"... as the GOP memo proves, this was a carefully calculated political move.

Well...still not legal. And it is like Delay to quote sources that support his views regardless of wheather or not they support reality.

I hate to burst your bubble Sava but the leader of the Democrats in the Senate is one of the bigger supporters of this.

                            So?

The Democrats who are supporting this are scum and are only doing so because they don't want to be seen as the party of "death" and because they want to move farther to the "right".

I don't understand how this is supposed to "burst my bubble".

                              STATE'S RIGHTS ISSUE!!

                              Why are we yelling?

Just to be clear...I think it sucks what they are doing to her and I think it is morally wrong, but the issue is clearly a State issue and has been 5 years in getting to this point. Just because we don't like the answer doesn't mean we change the Constitution.
