Vamos a ver... en el siglo IX tenemos a Ibn Wahab, navegante que acompañaba a Suleiman. Es el primero que viaja a China y emplaza su factoría comercial en Canton (Khanfu según los escritos árabes de la época).
Respecto a las obras en que puede describirse ese descubrimiento, pueden ser el "Kitab-al-Buldan" de Al Yakubi, o un poco posterior el "Al-Masalik wal Mamalik", escrito por Ibn Khurdadhbi.

Si algún día paseando por los alrededores del aeropuerto de Barajas sintonizáis en la radio del coche la frecuencia de 121.97 MHz puede que escuchéis una voz repitiendo una y otra vez algo parecido a esto:
"Barajas information ALPHA, One eight five zero Zulu. One zero thousand scattered, visibility two five, temperature two four, dewpoint one two, wind two eight ziro degrees at six, altimeter three ziro niner one. The IFR approach is ILS runway three three right, tower frequency one one eight two five, and ILS runway three three. Departure runways are three six right and three three. Advise controller on initial contact that you have information ALPHA".
