Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
After buying Rome: Total War (and playing it for dozens of hours) I felt greatly inspired to go on with this NES; The thing is I need to restructure the military part, including upkeep and automatic reinforcements when resting in order to make gameplay more realistic and easier to update.
I have already invested ~7 hours on excel sheets, converting existing armies to the new structure and the like. However I am not finished yet, and university claims more time than expected.
Now if I promise to continue this NES, and then I cannot due to real life issues / lack in interest, I am the badboy again. That´s exactly why I didn´t want to bump this thread...
Hope you understand what I try to say in many words
I do indeed, as I have lot od studying to do here too. Tests, fraternity parties etc
But it would be great if we could continue. We could perhaps slow the pace down so that the IRL duties and things wouldnt conflict too much with this great NES. I loved the olde system but I have nothing against a new and improved system either
Ok, the modernization thingie didn´t work. I have tried several approaches, but all of them make the game more complicated for me and more confusing for you. Now my Excel has drawn his hat, so I´m left with a whole bunch of Army tables which I cannot work with anymore...
Hm, time for the new year´s oath is nearing, so maybe we can resume the game in its unchanged old form after the xmas holidays...
I had it automated, but now I need to find a way to get a non-currupt version of Excel.
I also thought that unit costs could be done differently:
Instead of saying "1,000 infantry cost 5 talents", it could be "a talent buys 200 infantry". This way we reduce complication by fixing one of two values, while we would also allow for more flexibility.
