    Panda:

I'll post the thread, MtG rules and rule questions.

    Whenever Exalted Angel deals damage,
Now all we need is a way to channel damage from exalted Angel.

    UR:

Mostly I use dual lands and a few of the triplet lands with gemstone mines and city of brass.

City of brass especially becuase I need the speed before the life.

So with 4 gemstone mines, and a city of brass and a few dual lands, I generally don't have mana problems.

I need more worldly tutors so that I get the slivers I need.

    IW:

How does the onslaught deck deal with crystalline sliver and the regeneration sliver? If I need to, I can generally block whatever I need.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

      4/5
Flying. Whenever Exalted Angel deals damage, you gain that much life. Morph 2WW (You may play this face down as a 2/2 creature for 3. Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.)

Note that Exalted Angel doesn't require damage to be "combat damage".
I am not sure if this is better than the Serra Angel. Attacking without tapping is quite a vicious ability.

Yeah, Serra Angels were always the rule of the day when the other guy had his deck packed with Royal Assassins.

The only thing to do is to play Mana Short, followed by Control Magic.
Sorry, it doesn't work; provably, the guy will respond, by tapping all his plains and give Jareth protection of the colors of his opponent.

I actually played against this in the pre-release, but the one time my oppo had this is hand he couldn't get the triple-white mana necessary until too late.

If you think Jareth's a buff, check out Exalted Angel, the most sought after card in Onslaught Block:

I think the EA is more popular than Jareth, because it is much more flexible, (Morph 2WW ) and more doble/triple color deck friendly. With its built in spirit link ability, this angel is better overall than Serra Angel IMHO. But unlike Jarreth, Exalted Angel will be much easier to kill (don't you hate, when your shivan dragon is removed by simple spells such as terror?).

If you give Serra Embrace to Jareth, this creature will be unbeatable except with spells like Wrath of God.

          Serra Embrace:

          {cost (2)ww}
          Enchant Creature

"enchanted creature gets +2/+2, flying and attacking w/ the enchanted creature won't tap it.

You can't. Mana Short is an instant. Instants resolve in FIFO fashion.

I suppose that depends on the deck construction.

Well, if you construct your deck around the Exalted Angel, you probably put in some sort of protection in the deck, like black wards.

            Ouch, that's nasty too.

Yes. I hate that card. In fact, I hate anything with the name "Serra" on it. Even in the flavour text usually. .

              Which Onslaught deck?
Crystalline Sliver I've never met. I'd just pray I got out enough blockers, and then flame the player direct.
"regeneration sliver": you mean Crypt Sliver? That's one scary MF as well.

PS What would be a good replacement for the crappy Mistform Dreamer/Sliver I got in the precon deck I bought.

Crystalline sliver is the heart and soul of my deck.

See if I can find a pic.

No, I mean the clot sliver from Tempest. Couldn't remember the name. 1B for a 1/1 sliver that regenerates. Just a common.

                    • The easiest answer to Jareth (or any dominating creature) is Wrath of God. Unfortunately you have to be playing white for that. Red has some alternatives like Obliterate and Apocalypse; Scourge gives it the awesomely-named Decree of Annihilation. If I can somehow get my hands on one, I'll play with it just for the name!

You strike me as a person that is going to be playing Big Creatures so why not get Torrent of Fire?

                          Crypt Sliver is better.

I should, actually. Some of the recent card names are really, really good. I'll throw in "Day of the Dragons", and be set for about a year!

Form of the Dragon would be more up your alley.

Isn't tapping mana source supposed to be faster than an instant? I really dont know 7th edition rules, and I used to play 5th edition rules. And what is FIFO?
