well I'm not sure I have played 10 of them
copied and pasted from off-topic
Baldur's Gate 2. I still play this game.
Fallout 2. Another great RPG. This is set in the post-apocalyptic future. It was a bit buggy on release, but still an amazing game.
Fallout 1. Just about as good as Fallout 2 essentually, just not as big.
Bard's Tale Series
Neverwinter Nights- this game isn't great at single player. But I have a lot of fun in multiplayer with this game.
Wasteland- old 80's post-apocalptic game for the C64- later made for the PC.
Diablo 2- yeah I know this is really an action game where you can improve your stats. But I loved it.
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale 1 and 2.
Diablo 1
Morrowind
The Gold Box series for the C64. It would be higher, but I can barely remember them. So how good could it have been?

Diablo 2 (same as Diss)
Might and Magic 2 (remember way back when?)
Ultima V (you can move diagonally -- wow!)
Ultima IV (a computer game where ethics are a major theme -- whodathunkit?)
Maight and Magic (the very first in the series)
Fallout II (what a loverly wedding -- I could just cry)
System Shock II (FPS RPG, damn good at both. DO NOT play alone in the dark!)No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Final Fantasy Vi, VII, VIII, IX and X
Legend of Dragoons
Grandia I and III will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Baldur's Gate I and II (2 being a better game, 1 having a better plot and development IMHO) Both with a lot more RPing (in terms of character creation, philosphy, ideals etc.) than they seem, and quite possibly the most addictive game I've ever played. I don't think it's actually possible to do schoolwork with this game on your computer.
Phantasy Star I - the series was good, but almost nothing comes close to the original. Very addictive, I lost months of my life to this game.
Ultima IV - Another great Master System game, very big on ethics. You can tell a lot about a person by what character they play. Rule Brittania
Final Fantasy VII - The only one in the series I still play, very addictive, but what's with the names
System Shock II - Probably the scariest game I've ever played, I still have nightmares about big zombie creatures hiding around corners, or big robot thingys that scare the crap out of you when you realise it's escaped. Far better than SSI IMHO.
Then a whole host of Megadrive (Genesis, depending on continent) and SNES titles that were great (or not so great, but with much nostalgia attached) such as Landstalker, Chrono Trigger, The Secret of Mana, various Final Fantasys, and one of my favs, Buck Rogers.Smile
For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next
But he would think of something

I have never played any of the games listed in this thread (except Civ). I s'pose I can safely say RPG's never interested me. Yet I still felt compelled to read this thread and make a post. One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
