You are in for a quite a shock in the upcoming decades (or if John Kerry wins in 2004). Israel takes US support for granted. When the support becomes more equal for both sides, then you'll know. When you have a President who pushes more on Israel, then you'll see.

And it'll happen much quicker than you think.
